Welcome to

THE SUMMIT

What does trans resilience look like? We’re building a community space to share and learn with and from one another, as we explore this question and others impacting our people’s emotional wellness. The TGNC Wellness Workers’ Summit is a space for trans/nonbinary folks doing emotional labor — from those of us who are clinically trained, to those who are simply good friends who show up for their people — to come together and celebrate our shared vocations/callings/sacred work, while giving and receiving support outside of the cis gaze.

How many times, as trans folks doing this work, have we encountered cis-facing trainings centering non-trans allies serving our communities? This summit turns the tables, providing trans/nonbinary-identified providers with an opportunity to learn in community with each other, whether we serve primarily other trans/nonbinary folks, or a general population.

For those of us in the social work profession, we are working to obtain CEUs; however, we want to be clear that our calling transcends the governmentally-sanctioned, and we seek to push back against hierarchies in this work. If this space speaks to you, there’s a space for you with us: Virtually, February of 2022.

Wellness work happens within and outside of systems. whether you’re clinically licensed, a peer support specialist, provide emotional support and resources to others in our trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive community, this space is for you.

(it’s okay if you provide emotional wellness services and supports to cis/general/additional populations).
